How Are We Different?

How Are We Different?

They contacted us and said we need a website. However, by the time we had discussed everything, we really needed to define what message they wanted to convey.  Tattoos are a very competitive market, but even though it is competitive and tattoo connoisseurs are all very loyal. We needed to figure out who we are going to target. We determined they needed to capture the upper middle class, young professional who appreciates art and self-expression whom through tattoos is will willing to spend, 3 or 4 thousand dollars to have their body illustrated.

Tattoos Can Be Art

Tattoos Can Be Art

We wanted to sell sexy. We wanted to show that real people can have a tattoo and be ok.  Those people with tattoos are just like everyone else. They care about each other, they have love, they have fights, they are part of the real world. It’s no longer just sailors and thugs who get tattooed. We needed to essentially validate tattoos as an art form, so a lot of our design was to be very elegant and appealing.

The Artists or The Style

The Artists or The Style

Anyone with more than one tattoo understands that they need to choose an artist and that each artist, like in any other art medium, has their own style and their own methods. You have to gravitate toward the artist that will do what you like, the way you like it. So we had to show each individual artist as a separate artist.

We created interactive effects throughout the site that focus on the artist first. Together with the client, we defined specific styles that each artist specialized in. So that from first viewing the site, someone who is looking to have a tattoo and is willing to spend a significant amount of money and time would know early on who they might want to gravitate to. Not only by their work but by their style. We developed the website allows an audience to instantly navigate by artist, by style, or by both.

I came to Gaber marketing in 2017 with a rather unusual challenge, to create a market that currently does not exist, with an extremely narrow target market of the one percent. Devin enthusiastically accepted the challenge, and over the next few months, Devin’s genius imagination created a marketing plan and strategy for me to achieve my goals. Next was website and brand, and again, Devin’s creative genius hit another home run. Everyone loves the website and logo. Creating a new market is a step by step process, it is not something that is going to happen overnight, but in the few short weeks that the website has been out, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, exceeding all my expectations. Thank you, Devin, for introducing this technological resistant soul and his work to the modern world, and look forward to all the fun on our climb to the top!

“Devin is an excellent teacher and trainer. He has a good command of many software packages and continues to upgrade his skills as required by the industry. I would highly recommend him for any position that requires training of individuals or staff.”

-JoAnne Flood, Education & Training Coordinator

“Devin helped me develop all of my advertising and marketing ideas for my small business. When I started out, I thought I had it all figured out but I couldn’t have been more lost. Devin straightened my ideas out and we started from the bottom starting with my company logo and website ideas. I get tons of compliments on both and business contacts have grown at a much faster rate with his help. People who have found my website say it contains exactly what they are looking for and they find the necessary information with ease creating instant contact. After only two years I’m in the process of expanding my business faster than I expected and contacts are rolling in regularly through my website. I’d recommend anyone to Devin who is looking for marketing and advertising strategies and who is looking to grow their business.”
