They wanted to make a big statement. As a young organization with young executives in an old industry, they wanted to do things in a new way.
Everything that we wanted to do was unique. Where a polo with the pocket embroidery that you might see on one of their competitors was traditional, we created a non-traditional design that you would see from across the street.
It’s not easy to create a design for clothing. There are rules you have to adhere to for how to fit and stitching. This was more difficult than initially expected. The stitching across the sides of the shirt, underneath the sleeves caused our design to skew. So a lot more time was invested in making sure the design could be sustained in that medium and still not be compromised.
We also had to consider the material. The colors and look had to be consistent with all the other brand elements we had created. We also wanted to make sure the design would transcend the traditional cotton T-shirt to the more athletic-style materials.
We tried to create a uniform that a customer would want to wear. We wanted to set aside the traditional polo, for something that could be two-fold. This was to be an identifying piece that would identify titan and their employees, and be a marketing resource to be distributed out as a gift or a value-add. This was intended as something you want to have one of in your closet, just because it’s a cool design.
I came to Gaber marketing in 2017 with a rather unusual challenge, to create a market that currently does not exist, with an extremely narrow target market of the one percent. Devin enthusiastically accepted the challenge, and over the next few months, Devin’s genius imagination created a marketing plan and strategy for me to achieve my goals. Next was website and brand, and again, Devin’s creative genius hit another home run. Everyone loves the website and logo. Creating a new market is a step by step process, it is not something that is going to happen overnight, but in the few short weeks that the website has been out, the response has been overwhelmingly positive, exceeding all my expectations.
